Healthcare

Seems as if our healthcare in the USA will be reformed in one manner or more and some of it may be good and some maybe not so good. Some people will benefit and some will not. My personal opinion is I am worried about the future or better put the unknown. Maybe I'm a pessimist or worried and have no reason to be. The reality always shows up . Let's wait and see and hope for the best. What else can we do except maybe pray a lot!!

healthcare

How can the govt get into the auto business, the financial business, the healthcare business without making the govt larger and spending more money? Where is the money coming from? Where is the money coming from for future medicare and medicaid payments? The person who needs to answer these questions in my opinion has not come close to answering anything that is important to us as a nation.

Military Restrictions

Is our Commander in Chief putting our soldiers on the battlefields around the world in jeopardy by having to give our captured enemy the Miranda rights or do we have to give them certain constitutional rights that we enjoy from being born here or becoming nationalized citizens? I DO NOT GET IT!!!!! Am I wrong or have I heard it wrong? What say you?

Abundance in America

Some of us in this country complain about a number of things going on in this country'but we still have a lot to be thankful for.The many freedoms we have that other parts of the world only can wish they had means that we are still a good and helpful people and generous in many ways. Let patriotism and strong ties to all that is good never end.

Socialism in the health industry

Is Canada getting away from socialized medicine a little and going to a little bit more of the private sector? I heard in the media that so many Canadians can not wait for serious medical attention that requires some immediate attention so they cross the border for quicker care. What say you?

Anonymous on intelligence

If we as a nation have so much money then why did we supposedly borrow from the Chinese to help pay for our Stimulus Package? People in the media and commentators on the radio and tv have said this country is broke. Are they right or is it their opinion or what? This nation never seems to run out of money, but, we only take in so much in taxes and our obligations now and in the future are astronomical. You tell me that many people in this country in important positions are wrong when they say that we are printing money with nothing to back it up!

California Sinking Fast

California is approx. 2 months from sinking; not from an earthquake, but from being 40 billion in debt with no end in sight except for a possible bailout from Uncle Sam. The "Administration" says California is on its own. Does anybody believe that somehow, someway, California will get help? The Administration could print more money faster! That is one idea. Anyone want to jump in?

World Affairs

Today the President is preparing his speech to be given in Cairo, Egypt, talking mainly to the Muslim world, but in reality, he will be speaking to the whole world as the world will be listening. What he has to say will anger some and be applauded by others. You can't please everybody all the time. What results will come this speech? It will be historic I believe.

High School Gradutes

Today's high school grads as a group seem to know less than grads from twenty, thirty, or even forty years ago in respect to math, world geography, world history, etc. I've been to many fast food places over the years and have had disappointing results. I've
been shorted food that I ordered, been given the wrong order, told the wrong price, etc.
I get tired of going back to the eatery and asking why they can't get it right the first time. It's the teenagers that are making the most mistakes. Is it our educational system
that seems flawed or is it the students themselves that are flawed?

Double Standard

The President has an explanation for everything he has said in the past and what he intends to do in the future. That is if his teleprompter is working. Did his teleprompter go to Yale Law School? He has changed his explanation of things from his campaign til now. Which man do you believe? I think he has a difficult time telling the same story twice in a row. He has surrounded himself with people in his own personal life as well as in his new work that are of dubious character. I wish I had the money and time to interview him and ask some serious questions that he either ignores or hopes will go away. He has problems in my opinion of expressing his own views and not somebody else.

I Did Not Vote For The Fraud

Look at the people or companies or countries that supported the President in his campaign. A significant amount of support came from communist, socialist, or other suspicious groups. A lot of support(financial) came from less than desirable entities. Supposedly, money came from foreign areas that in a campaign is illegal. Why do our so-called enemies arouind the world like him? Maybe they find in him a person they can readily manipulate to their hidden or open desires.

presidential duties

It seems to me the President of the United States of America spends too much time defending his appointees and/or apoligizing for statements or viewpoints of his friends and/or co-workers instead of putting his effort into doing more meaningful and productive things. Your opinions?

You go a mile, I'll go two. You go ten, I'll go twenty. You won't win, so don't bother. We haven't any room for commies in this wonderful land.

Somalia

The ships transporting food and other humanitarian supplies to Somalia are doing a very important and necessary job. My question is why when the countries sending aid have problems themselves taking care of their own. My idea is as in the basic part of any society to take care of your own as in a family situation and only then if there is a surplus a nation or peoples can help others less fortunate. We know the world economy is in the tank and will probably recover if only at a snail's pace. Let all countries get on the same page. Does that make any sense?

Sotomayor

Will she be evaluated on her record as an Appeals Court member in depth as to her competence to serve as a member of the US Supreme Court? Is she biased in any way?

I'm Frustrated

Listen to what I have to say as I observe a lot and need to get it down before I forget it. It may be "misguided", but that's your opinion: thus we're at a standstill. Maybe I'm wrong.
