Socialism in the health industry

Is Canada getting away from socialized medicine a little and going to a little bit more of the private sector? I heard in the media that so many Canadians can not wait for serious medical attention that requires some immediate attention so they cross the border for quicker care. What say you?

    Oh my that was a shot. What gets me is the AMA and FDA that wont allow certain life saving procedures here in the US for our own folks so we have to cross borders and oceans to get the care they need.
